The Rocket Science of Content Marketing

We recently came across these amazing travel posters for faraway places like Kepler-16b, Enceladus, and Ceres.

Posters from NASA

Turns out these posters are a project of The Studio at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California. The point of this team of ‘visual strategists’ is to take the complex scientific or technological concepts NASA works with on a daily basis and convey them to the public. These vintage-style posters grab the attention of the viewer and compels them to learn more about what the post depicts.

Likewise, your company can take the intricate workings of your product or service and leverage them in creative ways to create interest and educate consumers using various types of content. Maybe it’s an infographic explaining how a drain gets clogged or a cross-sectional image of the machinery your company produces.

Images attract the eye and can help people interpret information at a faster rate. Including informational images on your website can create trust between your business and your audience. For example, creating an infographic is an easy way to take a complicated concept and transform it into digestible pieces, helping the reader to have a better understanding and in turn making your website the go-to place in the industry.

The Studio takes rocket science and makes it look easy and inviting. Now it’s your turn to take your business, content, and marketing strategy where they haven’t gone before.
