No matter how you feel about the crowd-sourced Super Bowl ad campaign, the Doritos Crash the Super Bowl will end this year. The contest for fan-created ads ran for ten years, with prizes including 1million dollar bonuses for landing top spots in USA Today’s Ad Meter and opportunities to work with directors like Michael Bay and Zack Synder.
Doritos will air its last homemade commercial during Sunday’s Super Bowl 50. To celebrate, we’ve ranked the ads that aired during the last nine big games.

23. Message From Your Heart (2008)
For the second year of the contest, Doritos wanted to give aspiring musicians a chance to shine. Kina Grannis won with ‘Message From Your Heart.’

Even though this commercial didn’t win the competition, it did beat out ‘Doritos Dogs’ on the Ad Meter to nab the third spot.

Out of the four finalists that were aired in 2010, this one was ranked second on the Ad Meter and won an additional cash bonus.

After tying for first on the Ad Meter, the creators of this ad won an additional 1 million dollars.

The winner of the final Doritos Crash the Super Bowl competition, the creator of this commercial gets to work with director Zack Synder.
12. Checkout Girl (2007)
Frito-Lay (owners of Doritos) surprised the finalists the first year by also airing this commercial during the Super Bowl, despite ‘Live the Flavor’ winning the competition that year.

Neither this ad nor ‘Goat 4 Sale’ ranked in the top three of USA Today’s Ad Meter, but the creator of Fashionista Daddy did get to work on Transformers 4 with Michael Bay.
6. Mouse Trap (2008)
Technically, this ad didn’t win the competiton. It aired a year after it was first submitted in 2007, but it did rank fourth on 2008’s Ad Meter.
