This weekend at golf’s Ryder Cup, the American team beat the European team for the first time in eight years. Celebration was had by all—veteran Phil Mickelson sprayed champagne on watching spectators—and was a great way to end this season of golf.
Today is National Golf Day and instead of celebrating with champagne, let’s take a tour of a local golf course, driving range, and mini golf course.
In 2015, Sparkfactor photographed Google My Business Street View virtual tours of a number of Skokie Park District locations. Included in that list were the Weber Park Golf Course and the Skokie Sports Park, which includes a driving range and mini golf course.
To shoot the Weber Park Golf Course, we shot three panoramics per hole: one at the tee, one in the middle of the fairway, and one at the hole. When we were putting the tour together, we isolated each hole so visitors could see the journey the ball could take. It also makes it easier for the viewer to pinpoint exactly what they’d like to see without buy alprazolam in mexico getting lost in the vastness of the course.
For the mini golf course at Skokie Sports Park, we shot the first few holes visible from the entrance and then took a panoramic from a higher vantage point so visitors could see all that the course offers. The two-course miniature golf has a lot of twists and turns that visitors seem to enjoy while playing.
The two-story driving range at Skokie Sports Park is open year-round to golfers working on their game. The virtual tour lets visitors see how big the range is and allows them to virtually step into a station to see what the view is like.
So this weekend, go explore all that the Skokie Park District has to offer golfers and try to recreate that Ryder Cup excitement, whether on the course or at the range.
