Behind the Spark // Crosstown Tree Service Website

During the first Arbor Day in the United States in 1872, an estimated one million trees were planted. Now, all 50 states celebrate the day dedicated to learning about the role of trees in our lives, and the care and planting of trees.

What better place to help you plant and care for trees than Crosstown Tree Service? Over the past few years, we have helped Crosstown, now Crosstown SavATree, redesign their website, make it mobile responsive, and create a myths and facts downloadable sheet to educate clients about tree care.

CTS_homepage_mobile_shadowIn 2012, Crosstown came to us because they felt that they had outgrown their website. We worked with them to create a website design that reflected their friendly, expert company voice. We refreshed the site using graphics and images and added a blog so that Crosstown could educate tree owners on the proper way to care for their trees and shrubs.

As mobile website visits around the web continued to rise, we also made Crosstown’s WordPress website responsive. The benefits of using a responsive web design is that now the site can adapt to mobile devices, easily allowing new clients to call Crosstown directly from smartphones and visitors the ability to read the tree care blog on the go.

The Top 6 Tree Care Myths, as well as the underlying facts, help tree owners learn how to better take care of their own trees, as well as when to leave the work to professionals. The informational sheet was published on their site and used as a way to collect potential customers’ emails.

Celebrate this Arbor Day by planting a tree. Or plant seeds with your marketing and watch them grow into customers.
